Many people don’t have or need elaborate and expensive security

security doors and security window guards. Today’s iron door and window guards are varied in design, ranging from simple bars to
elaborate scrolls.

While the look of a door may vary, the heart of the door is the frame around it. The doors we sell at Tashman are made with a minimum 1¼” square stock frame. If you use thinner frames your door’s security can be more easily compromised. So always select a door that has a sturdy frame. Double doors are great to protect French doors that swing out. One half of the door remains fixed most of the time, but can be opened with flip of a concealed flush bolt.
Sliding security doors have a heavy duty track on top and one panel can slide over the fixed side to allow access. The door is locked with a hook lock that does
not allow the door to open unless it is disengaged.
Folding gates or scissor gates are used in commercial
applications to cover over a door or window. The gate is folded back and away to keep out of sight during the day
but locks at night or when needed. |

Security window guards or window bars are a great way to secure
you home or business.They are a visible deterent that allows you
to leave a window open for ventalation while feeling safe from intruders.
Window guards come in several basic designs but they can be custom
made to almost any size style and color. The use of decorative scrolls
is one way to add a distinctive, more attractive look to window guards.
Some can even double as flower holders, giving your home a European look. |
